Frequently asked questions
Everything practical about how visits, photos, payment and prescriptions work. If your question isn't here, write to info@drshandro.com.
Can you prescribe medication?
Yes — where clinically appropriate, you'll receive a prescription as part of your written plan. Some medications legally require an in-person visit; if that applies to you, you'll be told during the consult.
What if my condition can't be assessed online?
In most cases you'll know before paying anything: the free photo review is exactly for this, and if your case needs an in-person exam you're told at that stage, at no cost. If it only becomes clear during the video visit itself, that visit's fee is refunded.
How do refunds and rescheduling work?
You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your visit, directly from the link in your confirmation email. Cancellations after that are non-refundable, since the slot can no longer be offered to someone else.
How do I pay?
Payment is taken at booking through PayPal — you can pay with a PayPal account or, in most countries, directly with a card through PayPal's checkout. Your booking is confirmed the moment payment goes through.
What happens to my photos?
They're treated as medical data: seen only by the doctor, stored securely as part of your medical record, never shared with third parties, and deleted at your request where the law allows.
What do I need for the video call?
A phone, tablet or computer with a camera and a reasonable internet connection. There's no app to install — the confirmation email contains a link that opens in your browser.
Can I book a consult for my child?
Yes — book under your own name and note the patient is your child. A parent or legal guardian must be present throughout the call. Some pediatric conditions need an in-person exam; if so, you'll be told directly.
What if I miss my appointment?
The doctor waits 10 minutes in the video room. If you don't join and haven't cancelled in time, the visit is counted as held and the fee isn't refunded. If something urgent came up, write in — genuine cases are handled with common sense.
In which languages can the visit be held?
Albanian, English and Italian — choose whichever you're most comfortable describing your symptoms in.
