Privacy & terms

Last updated: [date]

This page explains, in plain language, what data is processed when you book and attend a teleconsultation, and the terms under which the service is provided.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is [Doctor's full name / practice legal name], [address], [contact email]. For any question about your data, write to that address.

What data is processed and why

To provide the service: your name, contact details, appointment details, payment confirmation, the photos you submit, and the medical information you share during the visit.

This data is processed to deliver medical care to you — the legal basis is the provision of healthcare, with your explicit consent for health data collected at booking.

Your photos and medical record

Photos and consultation notes form part of your medical record. They are visible only to the doctor, are never used for marketing or shared with third parties, and are stored on access-controlled systems.

Video calls are not recorded.

Third-party services

Booking and scheduling are handled by Cal.com; payment by PayPal (no card details ever reach this practice); video calls by [Doxy.me / provider]; case photos and intake details are stored with Supabase on servers in the EU. Each processes only the data needed for its function, under its own privacy terms.

[Confirm the final list of processors before launch and link their privacy policies here.]

How long data is kept

Medical records are retained for the period required by Albanian law on medical documentation [confirm exact term with a lawyer]. Booking and payment records are kept as required by tax law. Data no longer required is deleted.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, a copy of it, correction of inaccuracies, and deletion where legal retention duties allow. You can withdraw consent for future processing at any time. To exercise any of these, write to the contact address above. You also have the right to complain to the [Albanian Information and Data Protection Commissioner].

Terms of service

A teleconsultation is a real medical consultation, limited by what can be assessed remotely. If remote assessment isn't clinically appropriate for your case, the visit will be redirected to in-person care and that visit's fee refunded.

Payment at booking confirms your appointment. You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the visit; later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded.

The service is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for urgent care.

Medical disclaimer

If you have a medical emergency — difficulty breathing, a rapidly spreading rash with fever, a severe allergic reaction, or any condition that feels urgent — do not book a consultation. Contact your local emergency number immediately (112 in Albania and the EU).
